This HBO original series is one of the more popular current vampire television drama programs.  Starring Anna Paquin as barmaid Sookie Stackhouse, the show is set in Louisiana, where vampires and humans interact, though not always in peaceful harmony.  Sookie has a unique mind-reading ability and an affinity for forbidden love.
